Oromia Development Association (ODA), in partnership with the Save the Children Internatinal, Project funded by LEGO Foundation, has launched a coaching training for selected school directors, Woreda Education Supervisors, and Woreda ECDE Coordinators. The training focuses on supporting pre-primary ‘Bu’ura Boru’ teachers in effectively implementing a comprehensive play-based approach (CPBA I & II) they attended over the past two years.
The training aims to strengthen participants’ ability to plan and implement play-based teaching methodologies while fostering a collaborative learning environment through Teaching Learning Circles. By equipping education leaders with the necessary skills, the initiative seeks to enhance classroom practices, ensuring quality early childhood education.
The training was officially opened by Oromia Education Bureau experts and zonal education sector leaders, alongside ODA zonal branch managers. Additionally, ODA CDA Project Manager and ODA Education Program MEAL Specialists delivered key messages to participants in both zones, emphasizing the importance of their role in supporting play-based learning.
The sessions are taking place in East Bale (Ginnir) and West Guji (Bule Hora) and will continue until March 26, 2025.
