Oromia Development Association (ODA) is a non-Governmental, non-partisan, not for profit, membership-based local organization established in 1993 G.C. reregistered as Ethiopian resident local organization with registration number 1414 on basis of the Ethiopian Federal Democratic Republic (EFDR) Civil Societies Proclamation No.1113/2019 with a mission “to contribute towards improved wellbeing of the communities in Oromia through integrated sustainable community based development programs and humanitarian response using community participation and Voluntarism” primarily focused on:
• Education,
• Health,
• Clean Water Provision
• Food Security and Livelihood,
• Women Empowerment,
• Environmental Conservation and Natural resources management and the others.
These kinds of schools aim to go beyond traditional educational methods by catering to the unique needs of each student. The goal is to help children not only succeed academically but also develop important life skills, self-confidence, and social integration. The ODA Boarding School likely focuses on creating a safe, nurturing space that allows children to learn and grow at their own pace, with the help of specially trained staff, therapists, and other specialists.
The boarding school model also makes it possible for children from remote or underserved regions, where services might be even more limited, to get consistent education and support without the challenge of long daily commutes.
