Strengthening the Resilience of drourgt affected Community (Dubluk & Dire Woredas, Borena Zone)
This project was started on March 2023 and by now in its second year of implementation, this three-year initiative supports drought-affected communities by expanding access to safe, inclusive, and quality education. The program in its two years of implementation has reached 3,792 vulnerable children with ALP and 1035 with ASR as well as 4200 children in comprehensive life skill services and ensured their transition to formal schools.
The project has also contributed to system strengthening through teacher training, provision of teaching and learning materials, classroom furniture, blackboards, WASH support in learning centers, and improved child protection as well as MHH services .
